Since 2006, Cam H.V.A.C. & Construction, Inc. has successfully provided quality HVAC construction work for the City of Cambridge for a variety of projects including boiler installations at City Hall, Fire Headquarters, the DPW Administration Building, the Moore Youth Center and the Longfellow School as well as HVAC and controls installations at the City Wide Center and the Coffon Building. In addition, they were the HVAC and mechanical subcontractor for the new West Cambridge Youth Center and the VFW West Cambridge Post. Their project managers, HVAC technicians and other personnel are among the most professional and experienced in the 20 plus years that I have been involved in building construction.

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the efforts and progress that you and your team have made at Mansfield Public Schools with our various boilers and HVAC systems. I have worked with CAM HVAC & Construction, Inc on several Chapter 149 projects over a fifteen year time period. Projects consisted of a new public school construction, a large public library to smaller split system installation for the Information Technologies Server as well as computer rooms for various towns.
Through all these projects, CAM HVAC & Construction, Inc has provided a strong, insightful presence, worked within the scheduled time allotment, performed work within the budget and provided a good product and service. Cam HVAC maintained daily communication with both the designer and my office to problem solve issues that arose during construction, keep track of schedules, provided project estimates that were fair and accurate on change order work.

I had a small residential air conditioning unit installed in my home in 2006. Starting in 2011, the system started experiencing problems with the air handler, where it would not run to produce cool air, but the compressor still ran continuously.
Over the next three years, I had two AC companies to my home with the simple task of fixing the problem. Neither company could do this, even though they both charged me for a service call. I was at my wit’s end when I googled the brand name of the compressor and got your name. Being a retired Smithfield firefighter, I wanted to stay local, so I called in hopes that someone could help me. The service person gladly offered to send someone to look at it.
The first tech Tom was very good, went straight to work to repair the problem and even fixed some issues created by the installer. We had to have him come back once to fix the fan function and Luis came to fix a switch issue. It is now working perfectly. This was becoming a looming issue for us, and repairing it was almost a religious experience. Everyone I dealt with at CAM was friendly and professional, even when I apologized for calling the second time.
Not only did I get treated with respect on the phone, but my wife who was home was also treated with respect. I assumed that your company was basically a commercial AC company but everyone treated me like an important customer.
I just wanted to convey my thanks and gratitude for fixing my AC problems. You have no idea the trail of failures that led me to call you including a local competitor. In fact, the tech from the other company looked at the system and stated that he had never seen it before and would need time to “read up on it.” However, he did check the system out to justify the service charge of $89. Despite my objections, he left reporting the system was fine. You have certainly demonstrated how a professional company does business. Thank you again.
